The IR Functionality in Network cameras

The IR IP camera is designed to be used in outdoor installations or in indoor environments with poor lighting, which can achieve 24hours surveillance with clear image even in o lux environment.

The network camera delivers color images during the day. As light diminishes below a certain level, the camera can automatically switch to night mode to make use of near infrared (IR) light to deliver high-quality, black and white images.

Infrared light, which spans from 700 nanometers (nm) up to about 1000 nm, is beyond what the human eye can see, but most camera sensors can detect it and make use of it. IR light is filtered out so that it does not distort the colors of images as the human eye sees them. When the camera is in night (black and white) mode, the IR-cut filter is removed, allowing the camera’s light sensitivity to reach down to 0.001 lux or lower. In this time, suppose there is distant infrared LED, which can provide distant infrared illumination, a more crystal image will be showed than Day & Night camera.

with Multipix seamless Integrated Solution

Mission
Iran national bank, one of the biggest banksof Iran, which have about 200 branches throughout the whole country. In order to provide more safety to the bank stuff and state property against more and more crimes, this bank wanted to one new intelligent system integrated video, Alarm and access control.

Solution
At beginning, the bank would like to choose the analog CCTV system. But soon they found the conventional system is too tough for them because they should do much cabling work, purchase a lot of CCTV devices, such as Standalone DVR, matrix, Video multiplexer and splitters. Furthermore, the operations to control the camera, record, playback it is not easy. As they getting into Multipix system, they thought it was very easy to handle and fully meet their needs.

Multipix selected MP264D1 series high quality/price ratio IP camera monitoring the main hall, counters and the bank outside. And the software is Multipix MP1000 Intelligent security integrated system, which include, MPWEB Video management module, MPEvent Events programming module, MPMAP digital Map module, MPDVM Digital Video Matrix module. As well as MPIO IP based alarm device, MPACS access door control sensor. With them the entire system can work like below:

At day time, when one rob happened, the bank staff can step on the pedals to trigger alarm. The alarm lights will be blinking, the siren will make out big sound alarm, and the system will give an auto call to the police and play the pre-recored alarm voice to them. Menawhile the cameras will start alarm recording, and sending emails to the security center enclosed the alarm pictures.

At night time, when some one break into the bank, the camera will detect the motion, and trigger the above alarm.

Furthermore, there is one door sensor installed on the door of the treasury. When this door is enforced to open, it will also trigger the above alarms. But at day time, the movements in the bank hall will not trigger the alarms.

"This is one wonderful security system beyond our imagination", Ramin said, the director of Arman Dadeh Afzar, the contractor of this bank project.


Result
After implementation of Multipix new intelligent system, the flexibility of the video surveillance management was remarkably improved in terms of the ability to record, playback the video and especially the prompt response to possible emergencies was made much possible in intelligent way. Additionally, long-term maintenance and support services were setup, and the introduction of the new video surveillance software facilitated the installation and management of the surveillance equipment.
